Survey Level Assessments
SLA's are used to drill down to the student's specific skill level in order to focus the intervention on what the student truly needs. For example, the student might have a skill deficit within phonics. The Phonics SLA would then be used to determine the exact skill (silent "e", blends, digraphs, etc.) the student needs in order to provide a tailored intervention to meet his/her needs.
* Used frequently by ACS teachers.
* Use this RTI Diagnostic Tool Kit to help interpret reading SLA's and to assist in planning interventions.
